In this much loved musical “fable of Broadway,” based on the New York of Damon Runyon that never sleeps, we find a motley crew of gangsters, gamblers, Salvation Army do-gooders and chorus girls. Guys and Dolls is one of the greatest successes that the American musical theatre has ever known. The songs (“I’ve Never Been In Love Before”, “If I were a Bell”, “Luck Be a Lady.”) live forever and romantic images of a bygone New York breathe again on stage.
